Here are all the details you need to know about hosting a teen birthday party at the Medibank Icehouse.
What’s included in our teen birthday parties?
Food: tasty treats and drinks from our café.
Gear: regular skate hire for every teen, plus optional safety equipment.
Lesson: a fun 15-minute lesson on the ice with trained Ice Ambassador prior to the General Skate session, feel confident and secure in skates on the ice.
Skating: Teens are then free to skate off with their mates for the remainder of the General Session.
Room: 2 hours in the one of the party rooms located adjacent to the rink.
Age
If you’re aged between 13 and 17, our teen birthday parties are designed especially for you.
Packages
A choice of four delicious menus portioned for teens age 13- 17, from party food to healthier options. There is sure to be a menu to suit your tastes!
Add-ons
Organising a teen birthday party can be a hassle – let Medibank Icehouse take the stress away so you can just concentrate on having fun! Order the birthday cake, balloons and more with us to guarantee a care-free party.
Birthday cakes
Personalised, skating-themed teen birthday cakes are available to order. With our different flavours, brightly-coloured icing of your choice, smarties, hundreds and thousands and three designs to choose from, your cake will be a massive hit!
If you choose to bring your own birthday cake there is a $20 cakeage fee.

Adults*
Adults are welcome to join the party free of charge – you can even cater for them with our tasty adult platters.
Adults receive 10% off skating and are very welcome to join the skating lesson. Get out on the ice with the kids and enjoy the full experience!
Rooms
On the day your party will allocated a rink-side room for the 2 hour party duration.
Number of guests
There is no minimum number of guests required to host a birthday at Medibank Icehouse, however there is a minimum spend of $380 (less than 10 guests = $380 minimum, more than 10 guests = charge per head.) If you have less than 10 guests, you can make up the minimum spend by purchasing add-ons.
Invitations
Medibank Icehouse will email you some really cool printable invitations, which include all the information your guests will need to know – once your deposit of $100 has been received.
