ICE HOCKEY

If you team is adventure inclined then Come and Try Hockey is the perfect opportunity to introduce them to the sport of ice hockey.  Come and Try Hockey and food and beverage are alos available to complete your event.

You’ll be skating on the ice hockey rink that’s seen Melbourne Ice win two national championships and the Australian men’s team win the 2011 Division II World Ice Hockey Championships against international teams; Serbia, Belgium and New Zealand.

Full hockey equipment and expert coaching provided:

  • Helmets
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Elbow Guards
  • Knee & Shin guards
  • Padded shorts
  • Hockey Sticks & Pucks
  • Hockey Skates

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Coaches will provide a 1 hour session which will cover basic ice skating skills and ice hockey techniques.

Once your group has the fundamentals of ice hockey the coaches will guide you in a game, providing expert tips as you go.

Make sure you ask your coach who they play for. Medibank Icehouse is privileged to have players from the Australian Ice Hockey League and the Australian Men’s Ice Hockey Team.

Come and Try Hockey and catering packages are the perfect way to round off your event.

Package 1 – $60
Includes ice hockey lesson (hockey gear & instructors included), standard canapés (5 pieces per person) & 1 hour of standard alcoholic drinks

Package 2 – $50
Includes ice hockey lesson (hockey gear & instructors included), basic finger foods & 1 hour of standard alcoholic drinks

Note: It is recommended that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your ice hockey lesson to allow sufficient time to get changed into all the gear
