Programs and Facts for Schools

All school visits are scheduled between the hours of 9am and 2:15pm during school hours*

One-off recreational visits - $10.00 per student

One-off recreational visits go for up to 2hrs, including 45 minutes of basic skill development and game sense activities conducted by qualified instructors, followed by an hour and 15 minutes of free skating to music, during which students can play with friends and show off their new skills.

All safety equipment, including skates and helmets, is compulsory and supplied by the Icehouse at no extra cost.

Ice Hockey - $12.50 per student

If your students are up for a new and exciting challenge, Ice Hockey could be just the sport they're after! Our introduction to Ice Hockey lessons are taken by qualified coaches over a minimum of four sessions. Students will be taught everything from basic skating skills to handling a stick, controlling a puck and then being introduced to some game sense activities.

All protective gear is compulsory and supplied by the Icehouse at no extra cost.

Curling - $12.50 per student

Commonly known as 'Lawn Bowls on ice', Curling is a great team sport which encourages all students to participate and contribute no matter what their athletic ability may be. Our Curling programs can be run during one-off visits or over multiple visits. These programs are run by qualified coaches and include both instruction and game time. Students are provided with grippers at no extra cost.
