Under 8's Ice Fun

There are plenty of activities to keep your children entertained at Medibank Icehouse. There are skates for children as young as 3 years old, smallest size is a 7. Plus lots of fun to be had without skates so the whole family can enjoy the experience.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

In the Northern Hemisphere, countries like Canada and America, it’s not uncommon to see toddlers out on the ice skating better than they can walk. In Australia many children don’t have the opportunity to see ice, or snow, at such an early age. Here at Medibank Icehouse we have developed a session specifically tailored to Under 8’s. Under 8’s Ice Fun is the perfect way to introduce your child to the ice.

Our FUNtastic Ice Ambassadors will engage you and your child in cool ice fun! There are toys, games and music, plus snow play areas for your child to enjoy a totally different toddler experience.

Take to the ice for your child’s first time wearing shoes (runners are best) and gradually build their confidence week by week until they feel ready to try skates. Skate Aids (like a Zimmer frame) can be used, although your child will learn the correct technique faster without one. And if you’re not a confident skater, parents are welcome to wear shoes too. Helmets are available free of charge, or you bring your own bike helmet for a fun, safe and COOL adventure!

When: Every Sunday morning 9:00am – 10.00am
Cost: $20 per child - one parent per paying child can play free of charge!
