Experience two of Melbourne’s world class sporting venues in one day!
From June – August 2011, for only $13, your students can see and experience the best of winter sport at Docklands. Tour Etihad Stadium in the morning and skate at Medibank Icehouse in the afternoon or vice versa.
Etihad Stadium
Come behind the scenes of a world class sports and entertainment venue. The 1.5 hour behind the scenes tour takes you into the players’ change rooms for some handball practice, onto the interchange bench and into the Media Centre where we hold press conferences and the AFL tribunal. Tours can also be tailored to support educational needs.

Medibank Icehouse
Visit Australia’s biggest ice sports and entertainment venue and introduce your students to the fun and excitement of ice sports in a safe, supervised environment. Included in the 1.5 hour session is a 30 minute learn-to-skate lesson run by our expert instructors!

Transport Options
Both Medibank Icehouse and Etihad Stadium are well serviced by Public Transport. We recommend you take in the sights of Docklands by walking in between the two venues. Walking takes approx 15 minutes.
Etihad Stadium – 740 Bourke St, Docklands 3008
Train – Take the train to Southern Cross Station. From here, it’s a quick walk over the stadium footbridge.
Tram – 70, 86, 30 and City Circle
Bus – Bus parking available at North Wharf
Medibank Icehouse – 105 Pearl River Rd, Docklands 3008
Tram – 70, 86 and City Circle
Bus – Bus parking is available along Pearl River Rd, 100 – 200m up from the venue.
Lunch Options
Medibank Icehouse
Medibank Icehouse offers school lunch packages starting from $5 per student – a great way to refuel after a big session on the ice. Lunch packages are only available for groups who select Option 2. See lunch packages and booking form here.
Etihad Stadium
Arena View restaurant offers a hot buffet style lunch package with a choice of Chicken Parma, Fish and Chips or a Vegetarian Pasta for $12.50 per person or students can simply show their Tour Ticket at either the Arena View Restaurant or Locker Room Café for a 20% discount.

Bring your own
Docklands offers many open spaces where your students can sit down and enjoy their lunch. The Waterfront City Piazza is a great place to have lunch and is perfectly situated in between both venues.
